I went to Cascade School in Whitmore, California in 1991. There were quite a few CEDU staff there, including Eric Meltzer and Paula Rudy. We had the typical CEDU experiences with minor details shifted (we called “raps” “forums” and other vocab changes).
I heard Paula Rudy wrote a book called Beyond Therapeutic where she talks about Cascade students without their permission. I hope they were able to sue her.

I’m so proud of you guys for reaching out to Amazon and proud of Amazon for taking it down. Paula Rudy should be ashamed of herself. I wonder how successful her book ended up being.

One thing you might be interested in that no-one talks about is Julie Ponder, who was one of my beginning school counselors, went on to murder a 12 year old in a “rebirthing therapy” session. Horrible story. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candace_Newmaker
The Cult Vault did an episode on Candace Newmaker! What a gut wrenching story. I’m both shocked and not surprised at all that Cascade staff was behind it. These people are psychopaths and should not be allowed to work in psychology, especially not with children.
I’m confused about James Tipper. Are you saying he was Cascade School staff? I thought he was the sibling of a CEDU student. I read his book The Discarded Ones and didn’t understand the twist at the end.
Cascade student late 85 – 87, often I see people mention the original staff, Paula Rudy, Eric, Barb and Craig Cass, the Michael and Danielle Allgood, Michael Golslecker and wife?
There was also Marci and John Padgett, Ron Cavanaugh, Neil Westin, Merv Myer (or Mayer), he left the Cascade School and went to start the Amity School in Italy.
A few students left and went with Marv to open the Amity school.
There was also Mary the cook, who then became head of the middle school at one point, in the 90s. (I think I have my info correct about her).

We successfully had it removed from Amazon. I believe there is legal action pending.
